Mohawk Crown and Sash

Mohawk Crown and Sash

This Mohawk Crown and Sash is decorated in a traditional Mohawk pattern with size 12 white beads on black velvet. The crown has an elasticized back to provide a snug fit. It is 17" long not including the elastic closure. The sash is 51" long by 3" wide. The central 23" are beaded. This would be beautiful as a chest sash or as a belt. It can be sized for your use. More beading can be added at $2.00 a square inch. The set sells for $210.00.

Custom Beadwork

I do several types of beadwork: lane (lazy) sitch, Crow running sitch, 2-needle applique, return stich, embossed stitch (raised), loom work and wrapped stich. It's difficult to give a firm figure on the cost of custom beadwork because it would depends on the material it is beaded on. For instance, it's a lot easier and faster to do tension loom work than to bead a design on cowhide moccasins.

Loom work, because of it is consistent and easily measured, is $3.00 a square inch. Rosettes, usually a 2-needle applique job, are $10.00 per inch of diameter. Beading done directly on leather will be priced by the hour at $10.00 an hour. Beading done on velvet or canvas is $8.00 an hour.

I also do repair work to regalia, leather or cloth. Closures, seam repair, expansion or lessening, beadwork replacement or enhancement, new ribbons and new pieces to dress up your current regalia are all possible.

Please call or e-mail so we can discuss the work you'd like done. I can show you some examples and give you names of some satisfied customers if you like.
