Ingredient List
Heat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease bottom only of either a 9" loaf pan or 4 mini loaf pans.
Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl and mix together to ensure that the spices are spread throughout the flour.
Combine the sugar and butter in a mixing bowl and beat. Once creamy beat in the two eggs one at a time until blended. Add bananas and water; beat for 30 seconds. Note that when you add the batter will appear to separate into clumps. Don't worry about it.
Stir in dry ingredients and mix until moistened. Add chocolate chips or nuts if desired.
Pour into pan(s) and bake until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean - about 55-60 minutes for 9" loaf or around 40 minutes for the mini pans. Cool for 5 minutes and remove from pan.
